Details: 1961 Bentley Series II (S2) Standard Steel SaloonGold over Sable with Tan LeatherOne of 1,863 ProducedWell cared for throughout its life This Bentley S2 is being sold along with several others in a small collection. The owner, a Rolls Royce and Bentley enthusiast, has owned this Bentley for over 20 years and has faithfully maintained to a very high standard it so it could be reliably used for high-quality, long-distance touring with his family. Such trips included vacations in Florida and New England as well as attending Bentley/Rolls Royce club events around the United States. He was committed to the marque, even owning a Rolls Royce as his daily-driver. This Bentley was delivered new in December 1961 and presently has 139,655 miles. It is a right-hand-drive example with factory air conditioning and is V8 powered. It comes with the owner´s manual, service records, original tools, Lucas driving lamps, a set of front and rear sheepskin floor mats and a modern sound system which has been tastefully installed. It has been repainted to a high standard. The chrome is original with very mild scratches from normal use. The glass is excellent with no scratches. The restored interior shows little wear and the wood is excellent with no cracks. The engine compartment is clean but not highly detailed. Over the course of his ownership, the present owner spent well over $135,000 on restoration, service and repairs. In addition to the repainting of the body, significant work included the following and much, much more.
